Drug Market Intervention In October of 2010, eight individuals who participated in the illegal sale of drugs in the Village of Haverstraw community were given the chance of a lifetime. They were invited to a community meeting, called a “Call-In”. Instead of being arrested and prosecuted as usual, they were given the opportunity to participate in a unique program to turn their lives around. Drug Market Intervention (DMI) is an innovative and effective program to reduce drug dealing in a community.
